Woodie's and Lugettie's Salad Dressing

This dressing for salad greens uses oil, 2 kinds of vinegar, beef gravy base, soy sauce, mustard, garlic and onion powders, and a little juice from the bottled peppers.
 

Ingredients

  • 1 C. oil
  • 1/2 C. vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. balamisic vinegar
  • 1 tsp. beef gravy base
  • 1 tsp. soy sauce
  • 1/8 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/8 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 tsp. juice from pepperonchini peppers
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  • Pepperonchini (to garnish)
  • Salad greens
  • Grated cheese such as parmesan or romano

Method

In a bowl whisk all ingredients (except garnish, greens and cheese) together well. You can allow this to chill overnight before serving. Mix with salad greens; sprinkle with cheese, and garnish with pepperonchini.

 

Notes:

 

Number of Servings: about 1 1/2 cups dressing.
