Thai Beef Salad

The seasoning for this steak is prepared with peanut oil, cayenne and black pepper. The dressing is bursting with Thai flavors and finishes the dish nicely.
Ingredients
- Salad:
- 1 pound top sirloin steak
- 16 ounces mixed greens
- 1 English cucumber, sliced and cut into quarters
- 1/2 cup thinly sliced red onion
- 1/2 cup finely chopped fresh mint leaves
- 1/2 cup chopped cilantro leaves
- Steak Seasoning:
- 2 teaspoons peanut oil
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Dressing:
- 1/2 cup lime juice
- 3 tablespoons fish sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 seeded jalapeno, finely chopped

Method
An hour and a half prior to serving, mix dressing and place in refrigerator. Mix steak seasoning ingredients and brush steak with mixture. Grill on medium heat to medium doneness, 3-4 minutes each side on medium heat, depending on thickness of steak. Slice steak in thin strips against the grain. Place steak in 1/4 cup of prepared dressing and marinate for about 1 hour. Place mixed greens on plate. Top with red onion, cucumber, and sliced steak. Sprinkle with mint and cilantro. Add dressing and serve.
Notes: Add more or less jalapeno to taste.
