Spinach Salad

Fresh salad of spinach and romaine with a warmed vinaigrette with bacon and dill to use for a nice dinner or holiday.
 

Ingredients

  • 8 oz fresh spinach
  • small head romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • crumbled bacon
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp bacon grease
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp dill weed
  • 1/2 tsp dry mustard
  • dash pepper

Method

Wash greens and dry. Heat remaining ingredients to boiling, and pour over greens. Serve immediately.
