Penne pasta is combined with bell peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers & green onion, and then chilled in a sweet-tangy dressing with garlic & basil.
Cook pasta, rinse with cold water and set aside in a large bowl. Chop peppers, tomatoes and cucumbers into bite-size pieces. Chop green onions fine, include some of the green tops.
Add all vegetables to pasta and toss until well combined. In separate bowl, combine oil, vinegar, sugar, Accent, salt, pepper, garlic and basil. Pour over pasta; toss gently and refrigerate several hours or overnight.
Keep chilled while taking to picnic site.
