Hawaiian Fruit Salad

A colorful and fruit salad made with pineapple, oranges, grapes, and cherries. Take it to the next picnic.
 

Ingredients

  • 1-20oz can pineapple chunks, drain & save juice
  • 2-cans mandarin oranges, drain & save juice
  • 2 cups seedless grapes
  • 1 small jar maraschino cherries, drained
  • 2-3 bananas, chopped in 1 inch chunks
  • 1-small pkg. vanilla pudding mix (not Instant)

Method

Open and drain the juice from the pineapple and oranges. Measure 1 1/2 cups juice from reserve. Add juice to vanilla pudding mix and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thick. Cool sauce. Mix all the fruit, well drained, and pour sauce over and mix. Cool in refrigerator.

 

Notes: Make sure pudding mix is not the instant but the cook and serve kind.
