This salad will make the perfect addition to your next barbeque. This sweet and fruity salad is light and perfect for the summer.
Drain pineapple, reserving juice. In a large bowl, combine crushed pineapple and marshmallows. Cover and refrigerate several hours. In a small saucepan, combine egg, sugars, flour, vinegar and reserved pineapple juice. Heat on medium, stirring constantly until thickened and mixture reaches 160 degrees. Remove from heat, cool, cover and refrigerate. Fold thawed whipped topping into chilled pineapple and marshmallow dressing. Add apples and nuts. Fold in saucepan mixture into fruit mixture. Refrigerate then stir before serving.
